About Shasta Moon
Hi beautiful humans!! My name is Shasta, and I am a self-taught indigenous artist from Idaho. Art has always been my solace, and I am incredibly excited to share this with you all. My goal with Shasta Moon Designs is to create pieces that speak to the person it’s meant to be with, as if it has always belonged with them.
In every piece I make, I cleanse my workspace and the items with white sage before creating. I also incorporate crystals and sound frequencies when my intuition guides me to.
Behind the Name
My great-grandfather was taken from his family as a child and thrown into a residential school where he and countless others were subjected to horrific acts of cultural erasure. Our name being one of them. I hope to honor him and all others who were stripped of their identity and their sense of belonging. In the name I chose, I aim to honor him and all others who have suffered. I will donate a percentage of any profit made to a different organization each month. There will be a post on my Instagram following each donation with the link, so anyone whose heart guides them may also donate.
